Job Title: Human Resource Coordinator
Reports To: Office Manager ~ Team Leader
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Primary Duties & Responsibility:
- Review and process applications. Select candidates for all available positions: This includes coordination the job posting process, advertising, screening and interviewing both internal and external candidates, drafting and confirming offers, and informing candidates who where not selected.
- Maintain employee files according to policy.
- Complete newsletters to include with payroll.
- Conducts detailed salary surveys and other research. Analyzes data and determines problem areas.
- Analyzes hiring practices to ensure that the agency is in compliance with state and federal law.
- Assist managers with performance problems and disciplinary actions, and in documenting actions taken.
- Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
- Conduct agency orientation for new employees, including the review of policies and procedures and ensuring that necessary paperwork is completed.
- Conduct exit interviews with employees who are leaving the agency to obtain input on how to improve a specific job, department or the agency as a whole.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of healthcare regulations.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with all staff, and other health providers.
- Ability to coordinate individuals into a smooth and healthy functioning team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends, if requested by Supervisor.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines while working independently.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment while being compassionate and confident.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employees, officials, and the general public.
Professional Qualification:
- One year related experience in professional environment.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices of human resource administration; basic understanding of employee classification, compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection, training, and labor relations.
- Skill in updating job descriptions and preparing job announcements and advertisements.
Requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
- Clear criminal record of theft and violence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR and TB.
- Able to read, speak and write English fluently in all aspects required to fulfill job functions.
- Able to stand, bend, lift up to 35 lbs, walk, and sit in periods intermittently.
